Pep Guardiola is interested in bringing in Ben Chilwell this summer as Benjamin Mendy continues to struggle with injuries.

Guardiola is also looking to increase competition at the left back position.

The 22-year-old Chilwell has received 5 caps with England. 

Juventus are reportedly interested in adding Stefan Savic to their backline.

Savic's contract with Atletico Madrid expires in 2020.

Juventus see Savic as a replacement to Mehdi Benatia at center back.

Arsenal's board have promised that Unai Emery will have money to splash in the transfer market this summer.

Arsenal have yet to sign any new players in January, and are only looking to bring players in on-loan.

“When we have the possibility to buy different players with big quality to help us with their performance, we can do that. At the moment though the club is telling me this is not a good moment to buy new players,” said Emery.

Memphis Depay said he wants to leave Lyon for a top-tier club this summer.

"I want a new transfer to a top-level club this summer. Lyon is a big club but it's not one of the five best in Europe," said Depay.

Depay went on to list the clubs he wants to play for.

"I want to go to a club like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich. I want to go to a city that suits me and a club that suits me, to a team that really wants to play football. I always talk about Real Madrid, a royal club. White and gold shirts."

Following his move to Barcelona last week, Dutch journalist Marcel van der Kraan stated that Frenkie de Jong wanted to play for Manchester City.

"De Jong had made his mind up at an early stage. He wanted to go to one club which was Manchester City because they had a manager who he always believed in and who he thinks is one of the best in the world. [Netherlands head coach] Ronald Koeman recommended the player to Guardiola saying 'If you want a great midfielder who can help your team to do the tiki-taka and build it up from the back this is your man'," said van der Kraan.

Van der Kraan added that City were hampered by FFP regulations.

"But if Man City had not been bothered by their own internal issues - and I'm looking at Financial Fair Play - he would've gone there."

Beppe Morata stated that Ivan Perisic asked for a move away from Inter, but that Arsenal have yet to meet the Italian club's demands for the Croatian.

"We've listened to the player, who has expressed his desire to leave, but we need to make sure it makes sense from an economic point of view and no such offer has yet arrived. But there are a few days left," said Morata.

Arsenal have reportedly offered a 6-month loan for Perisic with an option to buy. 

After losing out on signing Frenkie de Jong, Pep Guardiola stated that Manchester City must adapt to the new rules of the transfer market.

“The transfer market, the salaries, increase a lot. After Neymar [moved to] PSG [for £200m], prices increased to incredible levels. We have to be quicker and smarter and try to buy the players. We have to adapt. It’s difficult to buy top, top players at a good price. It’s almost impossible. Maybe we have to trust in the young players [in the academy] and help them develop their own personality here," said Guardiola. 

Guardiola added that it's impossible to compete with Barcelona and Real Madrid in the transfer market.

“I said many times – Barcelona and [Real] Madrid: it’s impossible to fight against them, for the prestige, the incredible league, the incredible clubs they are". 

Arsenal have reportedly approached Inter to seal a loan move for Ivan Perisic.

Arsenal are looking for a 6-month loan deal for the 29-year-old with an option to buy over the summer.

Perisic signed a 5-year deal with Inter in 2017. 

Amid rumors of a move to Bayern Munich, Callum Hudson-Odoi handed in his transfer request to Chelsea.

Chelsea recently turned down a $46 million transfer bid from the German club. 

The 18-year-old has made 14 appearances this season with 5 starts.

Marko Arnautovic stated that he will remain at West Ham after turning down a bid from Guangzhou Evergrande.

“I am a professional footballer and the only thing I know in life is to play football. It is clear that London and West Ham feels like home and I hope the West Ham fans have always seen that. The club has pointed my career in the right direction since I joined and therefore I want to put the offers aside, help the club to climb as high as possible in the table and try to win the Cup," wrote Arnautovic on Instagram.

Manuel Pellegrini had dropped Arnautovic following a perceived lack of effort after the initial bid.

West Ham are also reportedly looking to add Maxi Gomez from Celta Vigo.
